The Vaaka factor: Vaaka Partners is partnering with Eltrea's founders and management to build a clear leader in electrical installation services in the largest urban areas in Finland. The key management and the founders remain meaningful shareholders alongside Vaaka. Simultaneously with the initial transaction, Eltrea acquired Helsinki-based Sähkö-Vendelin, whose key management also joined as shareholders in the enlarged group — a first step in Eltrea's plan to consolidate the market through further add-on acquisitions.  

The big picture: Eltrea's market is being reshaped by the increasing electrification, an aging building stock in need of renovation, and continued urbanization. These trends together with rising demand for energy efficiency, smart building systems and growing technical complexity are driving demand for specialised, technically capable electrical contractors. At the same time, the industry remains highly fragmented, creating ample runway for a well-run platform like Eltrea to consolidate the market and introduce its operating model to the acquired companies.
